Recommended by Ben; District 9 is one of my favorite films. Set in Johannesburg, South Africa, it concerns a group of aliens that landed over the city thirty years ago and have lived as second class citizens as long as they’ve been here. To say anything more would spoil some of the best things about the movie. The movie is a thought provoking but subtle allegory wrapped around an incredibly relentless sci-fi action thriller. I can’t recommend it highly enough.

Plot:
